UKLC Summer Qualifiers

There are two spots open to be claimed by the best teams from the qualifiers. These two teams would join the summer season playing for 7 weeks to fight for the title as UK Champions. Show your support for your team competing in the qualifiers by using the #UKLC2020 hashtag on social media!

Open Qualifier Information

The open qualifier for UKLC Summer starts on Jun 4 and continues to run over Jun 5. The top three placing teams advance to the closed qualifier on Jun 6 and 7. Make sure to read through all the information below to prepare for the qualifier.

Jun 4, 18:00 BST (19:00 CEST)

All matches played single elimination bracket best of 1 up until RO4
Confirmation deadline 17:00 BST on Challengermode

Jun 5, 18:00 BST (19:00 CEST)

Remaining matches played best of 3 (semifinal + 3rd/4th placement match)

Depending on the number of teams registered for the open qualifier the format might be slightly adjusted. If this is the case, teams will be informed on the evening of Jun 4 upon the closing of registration.

  • Registration Deadline: Jun 3, 18:00 BST (19:00 CEST)

  • Team Point of Contact: Discord

    (All teams are required to have at least one point of contact for the team present in the Qualifier Discord Server)

  • Qualified Teams: The roster initially submitted to the open qualifier will be your team for the UKLC Summer season if you in the end secure one of the two spots.

  • Full Ruleset of the UKLC: Make sure that your team follows the Eligibility Requirements under Section 1. A Team Roster Submission Sheet can be found on the Discord Server with instructions.

  • Server used: EUW

  • Roster details: Teams playing in the open qualifier will need to provide the qualifier organizer player information of all roster member before the qualifier starting. This is to ensure the team roster follows the eligibility requirements of the UKLC 2020.

  • Challengermode Teams: At the start of the qualifier, all players of the team needs to be registered on Challengermode and added to the correct team

Closed Qualifier Information

In total, eight teams will compete for the valuable two spots in the UKLC Summer Season. Five teams are invited to the qualifiers based on previous performance in leagues all around the UK!

Jun 6, 12:00 BST (13:00 CEST)

GSL groups, four teams each best of 1 except elimination match and deciding match being BO3. Selected matches will be broadcasted by DreamHack.

Players are allowed to stream player perspective with a 3 minute delay. The schedule is in BST.

  • 12:00: GSL Groups Round 1 - all matches played at the same time
  • 13:30: GSL Group Elimination Match & Winner's Match - played at the same time
  • 16:30: GSL Group Decider's Match - played at the same time

Jun 7, 13:00 BST (14:00 CEST)

Top two teams from each group advances to the semifinals which will be played best of 3. The winner of each semi final advances to UKLC Summer 2020. Both semifinals will be broadcasted by DreamHack.

  • Roster details: All closed qualifier teams are required to submit their team roster within the roster lock deadline that is Jun 4.

Upon qualifying for the UKLC

Teams are expected to be ready to play the following weekend with the start of the UKLC Summer Jun 14. The summer season is seven weeks long and teams are required to play in accordance with the match schedule provided. Matches can not be rescheduled so make sure to take this into consideration.

A mandatory media day will be executed for the qualified teams on Jun 20 and 21. As soon as your team is qualified, a league representative will reach out to you and coordinate this to happen. Please make sure to have all your players’ details handy to make this process as easy as possible.
